Systems for how people and machines actually talk.
Research-grade software, consulting, and the occasional hardware experiment — built by Ryan Schuetzler on real evidence about human–AI interaction.
A practice built around the conversation.
Chattr Technologies is the studio of Ryan Schuetzler, working at the intersection of people, language, and machine intelligence.
The work centers on a single, deceptively hard question: what happens when a person and a computer try to hold a conversation? Answering it well means combining software engineering with a research mindset; we design systems, then study how people actually respond to them.
That spans consulting engagements and a growing set of software products. Whether the goal is a shipped product or a well-run study, the throughline is the same: interaction designed with evidence, not guesswork.

Tools for research, class, and fun
Chattr Pro
Run scientific studies on human–AI conversation. Design experiments, collect interaction data through purpose-built chat interfaces, and compare across models and designs — all in one place.
pro.chattr.io →Chattr Live
An engagement tool for classes and events. Gather anonymous questions and live feedback from an audience, so even the quietest participants can join in — shared by link or up on the projector.
live.chattr.io →Gridcast
Live sports and flight tracking on an LED-matrix display. One of several projects joining the Chattr family — details on the way.
In developmentBring a researcher to your AI conversations.
Teams building chatbots and AI assistants often ship an interface long before they understand how people actually use it. Chattr Technologies helps close that gap — bringing evidence-backed decisions to the design, evaluation, and improvement of conversational systems.
Conversation design & evaluation
Shape how your chatbot or AI assistant talks, then put it to the test with structured evaluation instead of gut feel.
User studies & experiments
Design and run studies that reveal how real people respond to your AI — what works, what confuses, and what to change.
Human–AI interaction strategy
Translate research on human–AI interaction into practical decisions for your product and team.
Tooling & prototypes
Custom interfaces and data-collection tools when off-the-shelf software can't answer the question you're asking.
